How it works
Six simple stages
1. Start your book
Title, your name, who it's for, and a KDP paperback size such as 8.5″ × 11″ or 8″ × 10″. Black-and-white interior on white paper.
2. Upload your drawings
Drag and drop scans, or take photos on your phone. Thumbnails, quality warnings, replace or remove at any time — your originals are never overwritten.
3. Prepare the drawings
Rotate, straighten, crop, remove shadows and yellowing, darken lines, clear stray specks. See before and after side by side, undo, or restore the original.
4. Assemble the book
Order your pages, add a title page, copyright, dedication and colouring tips. Choose single-sided pages. Each book can have up to 40 pages of drawings and text — blank pages don't count, so with blank backs it can reach 80 pages. The page count is worked out for you.
5. Create the cover
Use one of your drawings on the front, pick colours and lettering, add back-cover text — or upload your own finished cover. Spine width is calculated from your page count.
6. Check and download
A validation report covers size, margins, bleed, page count, resolution, fonts and cover dimensions. Download your interior PDF, cover PDF and a project archive.
No AI is used to draw, change or add to your pictures. Every illustration in your book is yours.

How buying works
A separate product, paid per book
This tool isn't part of the KDP Converter credit packs or Creator Pro. Each £9.99 purchase unlocks one book. You can edit and rebuild it as often as you like until you tick to confirm every page is correct and download it — then the book is final, no pages can be replaced, your uploaded drawings are deleted, and you download its files once within 30 days, after which they are deleted from our storage. A new book is a new purchase.
Not included
Printing and proof copies, ISBNs you choose to buy, any fees from Amazon or other services, and optional publishing help from Living Well Books are separate.
Your art stays yours
- You keep full ownership of your original artwork.
- Your drawings are stored privately in your account and used only to prepare your book.
- We never use customers' drawings to train AI.
- Your project and drawings are kept until you delete the book from “My colouring books”.
